The term «complimentary services» reminds me of hotels and I don’t offer welcome drinks or free spa sessions. More to the point, as I said some time ago (a similar poll) the services I offer besides translation were mainly requested by my clients (proof-reading Pdfs, for example), but this was long before two years ago…

Complementary - with an e - is defined like this, e.g. in the Oxford Advanced Learner´s Dictionary:
complementary (to something) two people or things that are complementary are different but together form a useful or attractive combination of skills, qualities or physical features

Think of ´completion´. Paying a compliment is saying something nice - and there is an ´i´ in both.

Complimentary
1. given free
* complimentary tickets for the show
* The hotel offers a complimentary breakfast buffet.
2. complimentary (about something) expressing approval, praise, etc.
After one or two complimentary remarks about her hosts, she got to the main part of her speech.
She was extremely complimentary about his work.
Not all of his comments were complimentary.
Supplementary - synonym additional in the same dictionary - means
provided in addition to something else in order to improve or complete it

It is a question of diversification, providing different services, as opposed to small extras, which may work as marketing, but are ´nice to have´ and do not directly earn you money!
Perhaps you certify translations or proofread/edit/them as supplementary services, and offer DTP as a complementary service.

I may give complimentary services to my favorite clients (but not if it requires too much effort). I have recently added MTPE and have long offered services such as test translation evaluations and editing, all paid.

I worked translating flashcards into the Spanish language for a client, and one day I decided to create a Grammar explanation sheet for her, and she loved it. I love teaching Spanish as a second language and have experience teaching grammar, so I decided to combine both my teaching and writing skills. After that, when my client asks me to translate any set of flashcards, she also wants me to create an inner sheet for it.
