I'm a native Czech speaker and I live in the Czech Republic. I've been working as a freelance English-Czech translator since 2005. Rates and volumes
My rates vary upon specific conditions of each translation (subject matter, volume, urgency, output format etc.). I always wish to reach mutual agreement with the customer. If required, I can also mediate a revision of the final translation by a Czech language expert.

On average, I'm able to translate approx. 2,200 words in a top-notch quality per a day. In a short time "burst" situation up to 3,500 words. The volume also depends on subject matter. Smaller tasks are fine with me (minimum rate per a job is EUR 25).

Availbility
I'm available on phone and e-mail throughout every day 9 am – 6 pm CET (8 am – 5 pm GMT, 4 am – 1 pm EST, 5 pm – 2 am JST), or as agreed in advance. High-speed Internet connection is a matter of course. Secondary PC and backup Internet connection available.

General: Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, Office 2007 Professional, Adobe Acrobat, Paint Shop Pro and other applications.
CAT tools: MemoQ 2015, SDL Trados Studio 2014 (compatible with Studio 2009/11), Trados Suite 2007 (Tag Editor, Workbench, SDLX), Passolo 2009 & 2011, IBM Translation Manager 6.2.1, Across 5.1, OmegaT, Localizer. I also have experience with on-line CAT tools like Lingotek, XTM, WorldServer etc. As an IT expert, I'm ready to adapt quickly to any specific CAT or other tool if required for the collaboration.
