I prefer working with editable documents only, yet in the case of emergency and with complicated layouts I use a "trained" ABBYY FineReader, which can pre-process the docs and gives better--more clean--results than Adobe Acrobat XI Pro, let alone on-... See more
I prefer working with editable documents only, yet in the case of emergency and with complicated layouts I use a "trained" ABBYY FineReader, which can pre-process the docs and gives better--more clean--results than Adobe Acrobat XI Pro, let alone on-line (mind the NDA!) converters.
Of course, you can try several apps to come to the conclusion. However, any OCR still requires re/double-checking, that's why, I let my client know and charge more for such jobs.
