It comes with a software tool that extracts the required language combination into TMX files. As noted above, most CAT tools can only handle a subset of the data, and xbench is also unable to handle the full dataset. You can dump it all into TMLookup though.
The DGT-TM only contains legislation (no legislative proposals, no court documents etc.)

Uncheck the "Exclude corrigenda" checkbox.

"All documents, Search language: Dutch, Text search: aanzuivering, In: Title and text" yields 241 hits, including "Commission Regulation (EC) No 994/2008". Click that hit to get the Dutch version.

Indeed. Now we can add Eur-Lex to our list of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".


Thanks to the suggestions in this thread, I've now located the bilingual side-by-side displays of EU directives. But they're not parallel texts anymore, (so I can't copy&paste them into an Excel file and convert them to a TM - a process that takes less than two minutes).

This is a real pain. I'm giving a webinar next month and was going to describe this process in it. Now I'm stuck.

Any ideas on processing EU directives side-by-side without performing a full alignment?

LF Aligner autoaligns them for you (well, it will after I update it with the new URLs). Just launch the program and plug in the CELEX number.

Of course, I have got that. But the resulting workflow is not even close to what I was used to have at my fingertips! It is like going back 10 years.

We started to produce Autosuggest dictionaries from the Acquis Communautaire (DGT TM) for use with Trados Studio. It is not the same as the real documents, but it helps. The AutoSuggest dictionaries were created from the TMs that were created from the DGT TMs : Vol_2004_1, Vol_2004_2, Vol_2005_1, Vol_2005_2, Vol_2005_3, Vol_2006_1, Vol_2006_2, Vol_2006_3, Vol_2006_4, Vol_2006_5, Vol_2007_1, Vol_2007_2, Vol_2007_3, Vol_2008_1, Vol_2008_2, Vol_2008_3, Vol_2008_4, Vol_2009_1, Vol_2009_2, Vol_2009_3... See more

Simple Search in Eur-lex by Google Jun 18, 2014

I'm in the same boat with you guys, who miss Simple Search in Eur-lex by Google.

After carefully studying this topic and trying out all sugested solutions, I can admit that two of the proposed solutions are bearing some resemblance with the late most translators-friendly thingy in the world wide web.
