I've been asked to both translate and act as agent in selling an autobiography of a Danish jazz musician, by the musician himself. His Danish publisher isn't interested in helping. I have US publisher contacts but no experience in negotiating prices or contracts or rights, and I'm nervous about this. Is there anyone with experience in selling the books they've translated who can give me advice?

I think that's not a very common case, but hey! take it with courage! It looks like a fantastic opportunity!
Why don't you try posting in an books editors' forums?
