I'm one of the people you're referring to and, yes, it was a horrible period in my life, but there's no need to be over-judgmental towards Mervyn - after all, it was his assistant who committed the "heinous crime" you describe, not him.

I appreciated Mervyn's honesty in the post - he didn't come up with the idea or even condone it - and neither should we - but he was certainly not belittling what anyone here has been through, he was just sharing a story and perhaps highlighting how easy it is for freelancers to come up with excuses - give the guy a break.

I didn't mean to offend anyone, but I do apologise in retrospect if I did. It was only an illustration of how we can fight back if we need to.

As for firing Idoia, I couldn't do that, Marion. She does what she has to do to protect the business, and company loyalty means a lot to me.

Well, all I can say is that I don't like horses. I think they're smelly, and I try to steer clear of them as much as possible.
