Hi to all!

This is my first message here in Proz. The thing is that I don't know how you people manage to get your quotations, terms and conditions accepted by the customer. Is it possible to do that by simple e-mail communication?

I had thought to send my customer the proper quotation by email, and then he would only need to reply my message accepting the terms with a "yes, I accept quotation number XXXX from Cristobal". Maybe it doesn't have any kind of legal validat... See more

Ask for purchase order Jul 12, 2006

For new customer you should aks for a PO with all terms of the job at hand (text amount, rate, delivery date, payment).
This is standard practice. Without a PO (usually pdf or fax) you shouldn't start working, except with old customers, where normal email-communication is sufficient.
