To me, networking means getting to know colleagues. I suppose networking can also mean getting to know potential clients. For some, networking is simply another word for advertising and marketing.

I don't think the new version will improve the situation, except - hopefully - where bugs are concerned. The clear decrease in acceptable projects has anything to do with the Proz layout...

If you were to tell us that you would be inviting potential (preferably direct) clients to come and chat with us translators, yes that might be interesting. But you've only told us that there is potential for improved networking, and that is as vague as vague can be. ▲ Collapse

Please can we return to basic, comprehensible communication. What do you mean by improved? Improved with respect to what? What is your definition of networking? A way to contact potential clients or for potential clients to contact us? A means of promoting better rates per source word or standard line of translation? A convenient spot to chat with other translators?
And what does or will this new version of the website look like? Will it show job offers more recent than 10 da... See more
Please can we return to basic, comprehensible communication. What do you mean by improved? Improved with respect to what? What is your definition of networking? And what does or will this new version of the website look like? Will it show job offers more recent than 10 days old as is the case on the "new" job listing page? Please descend from the vague and nebulous and give us first of all fixes for bugs on this version of the web site and then be more explicit as to the new website. ▲ Collapse
