Having ascertained that Multiterm iX work erratically by design, I would like to go back to MT5 so that I can complete my project in time.

I have CDs for Trados 5 Freelance, Trados 6 Freelance and MT iX. However I am afraid that I cannot downgrade MT without messing up Trados 7 setup, patches and licence.

Trados support is not supporting at all - will somebody here offer a generous hand?
