SDL Trados Studio 2009 not opening

Hello,

when I try to open Studio it doesn't open - it tries, but then the window starts to shake and after a while I get the message : Studio not working.

Debugging doesn't help. I get the following message:

I don't know what your error message means at all, but if Studio won't open, then it's worth trying to delete 3 xml files that you'll find here:

C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\9.1.0.0\
(for Win7 OS)

These are the files you need to delete:

BaseSettings.xml
Plugincache.xml
UserSettings.xml

Studio will recreate them when it opens, or rather, if it opens.
