Cannot save target text in Trados Studio 2009

Hi, this may have been asked before, but I'd be grateful for any immediate help as it's rather urgent. I cannot save my target text in Trados Studio 2009 due to the following message: "The length cannot be less than zero".
I do not understand what this means, and no red crosses indicating errors are displayed beside any of the segments. Can anyone tell me how to solve this problem?
