Anyone else having trouble receiving notifications?

I haven't received job, forum, KudoZ etc. notifications since last weekend. I submitted a support request 24 hours ago - no reply. According to the FAQs it could be because a message to me bounced back and my email address has been stamped as 'bad', however I don't have the respective xxx in front of the address on my profile page. Anyone have any ideas?

Presumably that's something in your settings. However, without knowingly touching anything all my notifications have stopped completely. I'm not even getting a reply to a support reques! There's nothing wrong with my e-mail, I've been sending and receiving all week without any problem at all.

I've been receiving some Kudoz and job notifications, but not all, for years now. I used to submit numerous support requests regarding the problem... and nothing happened, therefore I've had to learn to live with that.

No, it's not my settings. But like Tabor says, I live with it and just check the jobs regularly.

I don't know about this specific issue but as a general precaution I have one email account dedicated to proz correspondence, kudoz queries etc. This way I avoid filling up my "business" email with proz bumf. I haven't checked it for a few days but it seemed OK the last time I looked

I also prefer not to receive job offers through that account, but all proz correspondence goes to the main email address you enter in your profile. I'm not really on proz to promote my services anwa

Thanks neilmac. So far so good. You're right, a dedicated a/c is a good idea. I changed the main email address on my profile and that seems to have done the trick. Although I wonder why? Anyone else out there with Gmail who stopped receiving notifications this week?

A few times I have been surprised by the message "You cannot quote because this job is closed" when I have just received the notification...

As there may be different issues with different email addresses, and notification settings vary from account to account, it is best to deal with such request individually instead of on a forum thread. Could you please submit a support request stating what kind of notifications you would like to receive? Site staff will look into it.

By the way, I see some of you have an email address hosted by Yahoo! associated to your ProZ.com account. There is a known issue with Yahoo! email addresses that causes notifications to be delayed or not received. So far, it has not been possible to resolve this. If you have an email address hosted on a different site, it is suggested that you make that email your primary contact email instead.

Hi Alejandro,

I have submitted two support requests but no reply! Will try again now. I don't have a Yahoo address. One is Gmail, the other is La Poste, I'm getting some notifications now but not all (since I changed my main email address over to La Poste).
