For July, that is. The hotter it gets here, the less appealing the idea of slaving over a hot PC becomes...
I've already refused extra work from one agency, because I have enough work coming in from my direct clients to keep me ticking over without becoming overloaded.

I have always worked on the principle that every single client is going to dry up instantly tomorrow. I do have two ongoing projects that run through the end of the month, so I expect I should be reasonably busy if zero offers come in the rest of the month.

Never able to predict workloads Jul 2, 2019

I wish I could predict this. Been working as a translator for over 10 years and I still am not able to predict how busy each month will be.

And expecting lots more. July is always busy. The "bad guys" are December and January.

There is no predicting. There is no pattern. However, July is a busy month (must balance lots of work with lots of heat and lots of other activities that must be done). My bees must be wondering where the keeper is. And of course I volunteered for various things, that I would not have had I known how busy July was going to be.

If I don't have 1000 euros of undelivered orders by the 3nd of any month, it's slow.
Although I have recurring work each month (newsletters, updates, etc.), it's never confirmed until it is.
