A neat but casual outfit Mar 22, 2013

Neat but casual because I have to bring my kids to school, pick my kids up from school, take them to dance and volleyball, run out for milk, bread, etc. So, I feel that if I wear a neat but casual outfit...I am comfortable but at the same time presentable for the times I have to get out of the house.

Shorts Mar 22, 2013

I wear shorts year round, occasionally a T-shirt too in mid winter. The only exception is if I've been out during the day in winter, in which case I'll carry on wearing jeans when I get back to work.

Always neat and casual Mar 22, 2013

Especially because I take myself more seriously when I'm well groomed
But I skip the make up at home.

Well, to be honest, it has happened I worked in my dressing gown early morning or late night, in the case of urgent matters.

Comfortable but presentable Mar 22, 2013

I wear comfortable clothes but like to be reasonably smart as it affects my attitude. I am more inclined to work if I feel dressed for the part. If I am wearing old clothes or pyjamas I feel scruffy and lazy and I don't get as much done. Goodness knows what would happen if I went for the N/A option...

comfy casual Mar 22, 2013

colder weather: yoga pants and hoody
summer: shorts, sarong, or tank tops.
The whole point of working at home is not having to get dressed up!

Shirt... Mar 22, 2013

..trousers, socks, shoes. Think that's about it, really!

Can't be doing with sitting at the computer in dressing gowns, etc. When I'm up, I'm up!

(to whom the sound of a "meat dress" is pretty appalling..)

Were I still living in Niteroi... Mar 22, 2013

I lived in the city of Niteroi, in Rio de Janeiro state, one of the warmest states in the world during summer, but I have luckily moved to the hills some years ago.

If it weren't for that, were I still living in Niteroi, I would probably work nude.

I wear casual, comfortable clothes nowadays.

Francis

Definitely other N/A Mar 22, 2013

Hey, don't knock loin cloths.

They're light, generally made of cotton which is gentle on the skin, they give you lots of freedom to move around in (provided you don't go down to the local Tesco in one) and they are nicely well-ventilated.
In fact, I wear them all the time when I wear Japanese kimono. I'd recommend them any day!

I was going to go on about the benefits of fishnet tights, lurex and thongs, but that's another story!

My thoughts exactly Mar 22, 2013

Agree!

I wear pyjamas in the morning, later I change into sweat pants and a T-shirt plus a casual pullover or cardigan in winter, in summer I may replace the sweat pants with a long loose skirt. If I need to leave the house, I just put on a pair of jeans instead of the sweat pants/skirt.
I wear felt slippers in winter, no shoes in summer. (Underwear is always a must, just in case Nicole is wondering...)

Informal, comfortable Mar 22, 2013

Much as I love my work, I miss the morning ritual of choosing what earrings to wear from my large selection! I can always put a pair on, but if it's a day when I don't leave the house it seems rather pointless.
I'm not a clothes/shoes/handbag person, but I do like my jewellery

Reeeeeal comfy. Mar 22, 2013

I usually wear a surf short and a T-shirt so I can take a dip in the ocean whenever I feel like it.

It's too hot here to wear any formal clothes.

N/A = Naked?

... is that goggles are a nuisance!!!!

And all that rubber! I think it would not be too comfy!

Seriously, I answered "a neat but casual outfit". I felt that "Informal comfortable clothing" might mean some shabby old sweater or or T shirt with holes in it. I want to feel comfortable, but even if I am just by myself I like to feel neat.
