When a KudoZ question is closed without grading, there is no way to add an entry to the Glossary. This is particularly annoying when the reason for closing is "Answer found elsewhere". In other threads recently, both askers and answerers expressed frustration over the lack of a Glossary input field in this case. At least include a comment with the answer
Aug 17, 2009
At the very least, the asker should, as a courtesy to anyone who participated and attempted to help, post a comment with the answer they found elsewhere. This is valuable information for all of us!

A formal glossary entry is better than only a comment
Aug 18, 2009
I think a formal glossary entry is better in terms of future use then a comment: it is searchable in source-target format, while comments are not. I am not asking for this feature on base of courtesy, but more for practical reasons. (Courtesy is nice, but I have learned not to expect it...) That said, it would be practical to have the glossary entry fields and a comment field as well. Katalin

In such situation adding an answer to a glossary should be at least possible and I would say that it even should be compulsory. After all if someone takes advantage of a system he/she should give something back and providing an answer found elsewhere is important for two reasons:
- it discourages from using this option when in fact used translation is based on an answer provided by one of answerers, - it helps everyone else who may look for such phrase in the future
