Životopis
I am one of the very few truly native English-speaking Czech and Slovak translators, and I speak Czech to near native standard after having spent many years living in Brno. My wife is Slovak, so Slovak is an everyday language at home. I also translate from French, Polish, German, and Ukrainian.
Translation - I specialise in legal and medical translation but I have worked in almost all areas during the 30 years that I have worked as a translator both in the UK and in the Czech Republic, and I am currently working with several multinational agencies and companies.

Interpreting - I have worked extensively with the Czech and Slovak-speaking communities in Greater Manchester and the north of England, working in all areas of the public services i.e. health service, social services, magistrates courts, county courts, prisons, crown courts, etc. I have completed over 1500 hours of public service interpreting. However, interpreting is not a service that I provide at present.
