My mother tongues are Czech and English, with the latter being acquired in early chidlhood. I use both languages on a daily basis and am closely accustomed to both cultures. This advantage enables me to retain the semantics of the original document. 

Through practice, research and life-long interest in medicine and healthcare, I have extensive knowledge of medical/health and life sciences and strong knowledge of medical terminology. I maintain strong regard for ethical and legal requirements of client confidentiality.

To ensure accuracy, I maintain an extensive glossary of Czech, Slovak, English and Latin medical terms, acronyms and abbreviations, collected through 30 years of medical translations and practice and consult professional, credible sources when conducting research. 

Due to my childhood immersion and ongoing exposure to the Slovak language I continue to translate documents from Slovak to English with perfect accuracy.

To maintain best practice, I prefer to translate from CZ>EN or SK>EN, and proofread in any language combination.
