Životopis

Having lived for four years in Iceland—where I completed a BA in Icelandic as well as a graduate diploma in Translation Studies—I am now back in Canada and available for freelance translation projects.

As I am also a full-time PhD student in History, I only have a limited capacity for non-academic projects, so it's best to order translation services as far in advance as possible.

 

My Expertise

Literary and applied translation from Icelandic, Norwegian (Bokmål), and Czech to English.

Special focus—based on previous projects and work experience—on texts related to history, saga and nineteenth-century literature, visual arts, current affairs, environmental protection, and personal finance.

Anything from a single paragraph to long-term translation projects.

All translations are proofread by an experienced proofreader at no additional charge.
