Wow, have you noticed that the time and the date are now stamped on the top left corner, right over your name on every ProZ.com page? I just noticed it... I think this is great and nobody can get confused of what time zone ProZ.com is using. Also, I do not need to see my calendar, my watch or clock when I am logged on ProZ.com Thank you Henry and Jason!... Hi Monika, I also spotted that. Slight glitch, however: the "'04" is shifted to a second line - I guess the frame is a bit too tight there. This could probably be solved by changing the format from "Mar 19 '04" to "19MAR04". Cheers, Ralf
Though it shows 6:14 March 19 already, when I have 10:15 March 18th yet,)) and [quote]Ralf Lemster wrote: Hi Monika, I also spotted that. Slight glitch, however: the "'04" is shifted to a second line - | | | What time is referred to here? | Mar 19, 2004 |
As I type this posting after clicking the reply button, I see that 06:52:46 Mar 19 '04 has been changed to 06:54:41 Mar 19 '04, but I do not see the time changing in the seconds column. So I presume that the time of opening each screen is given in this place. Regards, N.Raghavan

Ralf, The time stamp should show all on one line now. Let me know if that solves it. Regards, Jason | | | Jason Grimes США Local time: 21:37 Член ProZ.com английский + ... Time shown is when the page was created | Mar 19, 2004 |
Narasimhan Raghavan wrote: What time is referred to here? Narasimhan, The time shown is the time the page was dynamically created. In most cases, this should be the time that you accessed the page. If you are viewing a cached page however (e.g. from your browser's cache, a proxy server, or google cache) it is the time the page was originally generated. Note that all times on the site are in the GMT timezone (+0000). Regards, Jason | | | Ralf Lemster Германия Local time: 03:37 английский => немецкий + ... Looking good now | Mar 19, 2004 |
Thanks, Jason! The time stamp should show all on one line now. Let me know if that solves it. Sorted - looks good! Ralf | | | One hour back mine | Mar 19, 2004 |
This is so nice. There is only discordance with the time in Ukraine...the time showed in my screen in accordance to the country I have mentioned in the profile I guess, right? If yes, then mine is one hour back. Can I fix it from here?

ProZ.com uses UTC (a.k.a. GMT) - unless I'm missing something, everyone sees the same time display. See www.proz.com/faq#timezone. HTH, Ralf
Thanks for the explanation. Then I will try to see the real benefit of this feature, which I am sure, there is. | | | maybe it's easier to determine deadlines :) | Mar 19, 2004 |

Thanks Monika for bringing this new feature to our attention and thanks Jason for making this possible. I also agree with Elvira regarding the usefulness of having GMT time at sight, specially if you work for clients being in different time zones.
