my name’s Jakub. You can also call me Jacob. I’m a freelance translator and university lecturer, where I teach courses related to English and translation.

I feel confident in pairs of languages, such as English to Polish and Polish to English, Chinese to Polish and Chinese to English.

Furthermore, I’ve got a few years of experience of translating games, business, marketing and legal content, but I remain open for new fields and projects in localization and linguistics.

I’ve lived in China for more than eight years, so I’m available to do on site translation jobs in this country. I feel like my work style might be characterized by a deep sense of responsibility, attention to every detail and cultural sensitivity.

Computer games aren't unfamiliar to me, especially strategy and role playing types set in fantasy realms. Recently, I find relaxation in Dota 2.
