A literal translation of this verse (Job, 7:16) would be:
Spare me, [my] Lord, since my days are nothing.

agree ANTHONY ATKINSON : I am interested in the meaning of this Latin phrase because it is the title of a piece of music by Morales.

The book of Job, from which these lines come, are originally in ancient Hebrew, not in Latin.

Why are you looking for an English translation of a Latin version of this? It's as bad as the multigenerational smudges in a photocopy of a photocopy.
