transfer of shares

shares are 'alienated' from their holder, in essence meaning that they are transferred to another person/entity, hence "alienated" from previous holder

Peer comment(s):

agree Dave Bindon : I'd go with alienation. I have a strong feeling I know the case Julian is working on, and the 'alienation of shares' would be done in order to take them out of the court's jurisdiction.
