I think this should be enough.

Versatz ("Versetzung der Soll-Form") would be a bit tricky to translate.

Thanks a lot. You are absolutely right that it is the result of the mismatch in mould which is described in the text. So the German original is not quite clear.

mould misalignment

Versatz wäre mismatch, wenn von Verschlüssen oder von Knöpfen und Knopflöchern auf einer Veste oä die Rede wäre.
