Does anyone know if there is a standard English translation for "Personenführungsanlage", i.e. mobile headset and headphones for interpreting while walking around?

Mobile interpreting equipment Thanks for the input, guys, but I'm looking for the term that English-speaking interpreters would use, and that almost certainly has nothing to do with tours or guides. For the moment, I've put "Mobile interpreting equipment". I've also mailed Edith - the only interpreter I'm aware of among the D-E regulars - asking her to contribute if she can.

@ Daniel No, it is equipment that allows the interpreter to speak into a radio headset which in turn is heard by people wearing the corresponding headphones. It's basically a conference interpreting set-up but designed for people walking around, e.g. factory tours etc.

If I understand this correctly - not two-way equipment, but self-contained for use in e.g. museums etc.

e.g.:

Seems that Personenführungsanlagen are indeed also used for normal guided tours and tours/meetings where the people at the back simply can't hear.
