German term

wissensschwer

German to English Marketing Idioms / Maxims / Sayings innovation
A company's CEO talking about how innovation is a company principle and marketable products arise from an abundance of ideas. Then he goes on to say:

"Unser Chancen liegen im Vorsprung, den wissensschwere Erzeugnisse ermoeglichen"

I also found "wissensschwere" described as "Produkte mit Köpfchen" which one could potentially translate as "intelligent/smart products" depending on the context.

My proposal:
"Our chances lie in a competitive edge, which allows us to develop creative products"

Thanks very much in advance for any suggestions.

Best,
Matt

sophisticated

Our chances lie in a competitive edge made possible by our sophisticated products.

Just a thought. The highly developed and sophisticated products bring about the competitive edge rather than the other way around.

agree Hilary Davies Shelby : great suggestion, and Fantutti's right about the order - it's the products that do the "ermoegliching" :-)

As pointed out above "wissensschwer" is über-pompous, so you could maybe maintain the register by using this dread descriptor which is springing up everywhere lately.
Not that we should be encouraging it...
