Job Title
Hi,
I'm currently translating the website of an airline catering company based in Germany. Under the careers tab on their site, they have a vacancy advertised for an "Ausdeckungsdamen/herren".
I wondered if anyone knew the corresponding English job title. As I understand it, "Ausdeckung" is an industry-specific term for those trays of food served in-flight.
Therefore, I believe "Ausdeckungsdamen/herren" are those people who put together these trays of food. Something equivalent to a "meal packer m/f", perhaps?
I would welcome any thoughts and suggestions.

Food-tray assembler
..or simply tray assembler
Among other things I had to work at the assembly line for a while for one of these airline catering companies while living in close to the Malpensa airport in Italy.

: I have found references to portioning and assembling these meals so this works for me. Couldn't find a single advert for a job though

Thanks. When it's not wrapped up in combinations of nicer words, including kitchen service and aid, it's also found as tray setter or, as already stated, tray assembler. Thus one normally applies for a job as kitchen aid and ends up like a tray assembler.

food tray filling staff (m/f)
I initially though about "tray filler", then found a reference (see below) and figured we should add "staff" because they are humans, not robots ;-)

Thanks for all the suggestions so far.
Thanks for your feedback. Meal assembler sounds a lot better ;-)
