French term

Actif / Passive Critique

French to English Tech/Engineering IT (Information Technology)
Hello

I thought that I had figured out "Actif Critique" in sentences like

Temps de déclaration d’une vulnérabilité Critique sur un ***Actif Critique***

After checking, it seemed okay to say "Critical vulnerability on a ***Critical Asset***"

But now I have the word *** Passif *** in short sentences like

"Scan Actif / Passif:"

So what would a Scan Passif be? It can't be a scan on a Critical liability can it???

And if I start talking about simply active and passive scans, then what is an ***Actif Critique** in that case?

I'm completely lost.

Any help welcomed

Thanks

where critical is common to both actve AND passiv Isn't scan an analysis of this asset set to show what is critical active OR critical passive? Investing on losing assets yields if this asset loses, does'nt it? Also don't trackers have settings of this form ?

Actif/passif critique is critical asset/liability.
Scan actif/passif: this really depends on the meaning of scan. Do you have any more context?

To neutralize these threats, it is important to understand—and remedy—the areas where organizations are falling short. A recent SANS survey of security practitioners demonstrated that consistently scanning assets and liabilities is still not among the routine best practices of the majority of organizations.
