иногда может означать bandage dress, но в моем случае - платье другое.
bandeau - все-таки бкз лямок или со снимающимися лямками.

what I've also done I've used the word search for "band dress" at http://www.shopstyle.co.uk/browse?fts=band dress and most of the styles that come up tend to have one thing in common, they have "bands" as in having a "line" either at waistline or at the hipline or hemline. and it is this "line" that appears to be the "band" if I am not mistaken...

I've managed to get a picture of the dress I am describing (unfortunately cannot show it here). Basically, it's neither a bandeau dress, nor a bandage dress. Bandage dresses have "bandages" attached together and classic examples of bandage dresses would be Herve Leger dresses (e.g. http://www.selfridges.com/en/Womenswear/Categories/Dresses/A... ). Bandeau dresses tend to be the ones without straps but as pointed out by Lana can be with straps too. Out of all bandeau dresses I've seen they fit tightly at the top. The one I've got is fairly loose and is pretty much identical to this one shape-wise and material-wise http://www.selfridges.com/en/Womenswear/Categories/Dresses/H...

Bandage dresses were being spotted on celebs everywhere since last year and their lush haven’t disappear this season too.
