A student is in Good Standing if he/she is not on Academic Probation or Dismissed from the University (http://www.shu.lu/student/policies/standards.html)
The standing "Incomplete" (I) is given to a student who has done satisfactory work but has not completed the course requirements because of illness or some other emergency situation. An "Incomplete" in a course taken for credit must be completed within one month after the opening of the following semester or the grade becomes an "F*". Good Standing
To be in good academic standing in The Graduate School, a student must meet both the standards set by the degree program in which the student is enrolled and those set by The Graduate School. The student must also make satisfactory progress toward fulfilling all requirements for the degree as set forth by the applicable degree program and by The Graduate School. A student whose overall grade average is below B, or who has more than one incomplete grade, or who fails to make satisfactory progress toward the degree in accordance with the standards adopted by the program or the Graduate Faculty and the applicable degree program, is not in good academic standing. Students who are otherwise in good standing, but whose records contain an incomplete (Y) grade, have one year from the date of grade award to complete course requirements and earn an acceptable letter grade (except for 499 Projects in the McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science).
