I remember Robert very well from the Kraków dinner, which he had organized. He was always very friendly and enthousiastically telling about the interests he and his son had in computers and mathemathics. How sad for his family! | |

Nice and generous guy, very proud of his son and daughter with a very brave and sweet wife. They did all they could to make our stay pleasant.
It's so sad, Robert. I wish your family all the necessary strength.

I also remember Claudia praising not too long ago Robert's (and Magda's) wonderful hospitality in Poland, in another thread I started about powwows ( http://www.proz.com/topic/58204 ).
So it is rather shocking to learn now about Robert's death.
I just posted the following photo in another thread (in the Spanish forum), but I thought it would fit here as well:

He didn't know me, but when I had a huge Trados problem, he was there to help me, to solve my problem and I could deliver a translation in time. He even took a time to explain what I should do next time. We have lost a colleague and a good person. But, two kids have lost a father... how sad.
My deepest condolences to his family.
