Online Postgraduate Certificate in Translation Studies

(Specialisation: Spanish-English/English-Spanish Commercial Translation)

The Centre for Translation and Intercultural Studies is offering a programmedesigned for people who would like to obtain a postgraduate qualification in translation studies from the University of Manchester but who are unable to attend a part-time or full-time programme in Manchester. The Postgraduate Certificate in Translation Studies is delivered via the web and requires only part-time study (approx. 5 hours per week) so is ideal for those who wish to combine it with other commitments.

The programme runs from October 2006 to June/July 2007 and consists of two
course units:

1. Introduction to Translation Studies
2. Commercial Translation, Spanish-English or English-Spanish

Each course unit is assessed through a variety of coursework tasks. Successful
completion leads to the recognised award of Postgraduate Certificate.

Thanks for the link provided. It sounds all very interesting indeed but it is limited to Spanish so far, isn't it?
If other language combinations (in my case Italian &German) are also launched in the near future, I would love to hear from you.
