Lingo24 Translation Services has launched its first ever translation competition. The competition is open to all linguists over 18, wherever they are in the world and whatever their mother tongue. The top prize consists of 2 airline tickets to Portugal and 3 nights in one of the country’s renowned traditional Pousadas.

They will try to get a new slogan for the price a a ticket Britain-Portugal or 3 nights weekday outside the tourist attraction time.

It cost them much less than hiring a couple of creative brains.

Cheap cheap. If I win the stay, I would have to pay for the flight and this will cost me much more that 3 nights on week day in some hotel (they can at their discretion split the flight from the hotel if the winner is too far away).

Dear, dear, dear. A quick look at their website suggests that they already appear to have many creative minds on board. Could it be that they just thought it was a nice idea that would stir up a bit of interest? Surely not. Not all 'special offers' have a cynical agenda behind them, Yolande...
