Spending per day in Kraków, Poland? Autor vlákna: Wouter van Kampen

How much money per day do I need in Poland apart from the costs of lodging?
This sounds maybe a bit stupid but I really haven't got a clue.

this price on that internet site are olny about EXPENSIVE restaurants. (apart for Georgian Restaurant, Chaczapuri, which is cheap and good). So, we can say:
food:
- bar mleczy o bar salatkowy: around 3-4 EUR
(tipical polish food, or salad bar)
- pizzeria: around 4-5 EUR
- cheap restaurant: around 5-6 EUR
- expensive restaurant: why you go there? ... See more this price on that internet site are olny about EXPENSIVE restaurants. (apart for Georgian Restaurant, Chaczapuri, which is cheap and good). So, we can say:

- 1 coffee: from 0,60 EUR to 1,10 EUR
if you have question, please ask

Ueh, Daniele, grazie per fare il cicerone virtuale!:-)
If an Italian says that you can get good food for little money, there is really no need to spend a fortune on chic restaurants.
1. What about tip?
Something in between undertipping and spoiling.
Example: taxi from the airport to the hotel costs appr.
60 zloty (12 Euro?). I would give 5 zloty if the driver is okay.
2. Where can you make a cheap phone call into an European country? ... See more Ueh, Daniele, grazie per fare il cicerone virtuale!:-)

No mobile and in the hotel mostly very expensive.
Sono curiosa e parlando polacco non mi riesce proprio facile.
Na razie!

even much more expensive as so expensive as Germany - so maybe the magic word is Skype...
I wouldn´t know about any really good possibility of making cheap abroad calls from Poland.
As for the tip - the 5 PLN from Tuliparolas (Steffi´s) example are a good tip. Usually we round to the next "round" number (ie 61 to 65, 8 to 10 and so on) - there is no fixed rule AFAIK.
Best

The amazing conference is over. Here some experiences:
Bar mleczny (kind of self-restaurant):
6 zloty for barszcz cierwony (delicious!) plus pirogi with mushrooms - plus a great cup of tea.
So, something like 1,60 Euros!
I gave the tipps to the taxidrivers with all my heart, because there were all sincere, friendly and customer-oriented.

Wolfgang Jörissen knows Poland thoroughly and showed me an internet cafe with possibility for budget calls with very low rates for calls to Germany, UK, Netherlands etc.
