The DTT (Deutscher Terminologie-Tag e.V.) has announced details of an updated seminar in its annual series of financial reporting training events. “Finanzberichte nach IFRS / DRS - Eine Einführung für Übersetzer und Terminologen" (previous series title: “Einführung in die Bilanzierung nach IAS / IFRS ...”) offers an introduction to financial reports under IFRSs and GASs (German Accounting Standards). The seminar will be held in the Rheingold Hotel in Freiburg on Friday 21 November and Saturday 22 November 2008.

Speakers Jochen Treuz and Robin Bonthrone will provide an overview of the current state of financial reporting under IFRSs/GASs, with a particular focus on the appropriate German/English terminology. The two days can also be booked separately. The first day addresses the concepts and terminology of IFRSs and will be held in German. The second day (presentation language: English) focuses on the translation and terminology of German->English financial reports under IFRSs and GASs.

Discounts are offered to members of the following organisations, as well as to students: DTT/DIT, BDÜ, ATICOM, ADÜ Nord and tekom.

The seminar hotel ( www.rheingold-freiburg.de ) is offering a limited number of rooms for seminar participants at the special rate of EUR 93 per night incl. breakfast (quote “DTT” when reserving). The rooms will be held until October 7.
