I am a highly motivated graduate who just completed a Regional Science of China degree with distinction at the University of Cologne. In the course of my studies I gained a broad knowledge of chinese history, culture and society and underwent an extensive language training in modern chinese, focusing both on communication and translation skills. To further improve my language abilities, I spent one year as a language student at Qinghua University in Beijing and also did an internship at a small consulting firm in the same city.

In addition to cultural and linguistic skills, my studies also entailed the field of law, focusing on german civil and state law as well as international law with special regard to the law of the People´s Republic of China. In the context of my diploma thesis I conducted a study of the PRC´s media market, especially regarding the legal and constitutional framework which controls and regulates the development of the rapidly growing chinese media sector.
