Source text - Spanish En la capital no saben nada del movimiento, de la intensidad tormentosa, de la vertiginosa vida de Mamporal. Allá, con el abigarramiento cosmopolita, los autos, la división de grupos sociales y tantas cosas que hay en los grandes centros, se han ido sumergiendo en los nuevos problemas, hasta el punto de haber olvidado ya esta fiebre de episodios diarios, este ajetreo de novedades domésticas, de pequeñas cosas sensacionales, de conflictos alternantes que hacen de la vida de los pueblos algo sofocante como la de las grandes metrópolis. Creer lo contrario es negar que el microscopio descubre un universo tan febril como el telescopio. Mamporal es la ciudad de “más movimiento” que conozco. Y conste que ya conozco a todo el mundo en Mamporal; así es como es deliciosa la vida, conociendo a todo el mundo.
Translation - Russian В столице ничегошеньки не знают об ураганной динамике, насыщенности головокружительной жизни Мампораля. Там, в пестроте космополитизма, автоматизации, социальном расслоении и прочем, что только может быть в больших центрах, они так погружаются в новые проблемы, что забывают о горячке повседневных вопросов, об утомлении от домашних дел, о маленьких сенсациях, об обоюдных стычках, которые по горло насыщают деревенскую жизнь, уравнивая ее с удушливой жизнью мегаполисов. Думать иначе, значит отрицать простой факт — микроскоп открывает столь же кипучую вселенную, что и телескоп. Мампораль — «самый динамичный» город из известных мне. И я утверждаю, что, узнав Мампораль, я узнал целый мир, и как же хороша жизнь, когда знаешь целый мир!
