Source text - English Many people in science and technology work to find solutions for use of renewable energy sources. To lower our dependency in polluting means, such as petrol and coal, our greatest minds try to develop ways to harness power from sunlight, wind, ocean waves and so forth. All that becomes irrelevant if there's no way to store this energy. Most of these new sources delve into electric energy. Usually what's been utilized to do so are chemical batteries. The problem with that is the chemical components used in its composition are harmful to the environment. What could be an alternative? That’s where the flywheel comes in. The idea is to build a mechanical battery, instead of generating power from combining chemicals.
It’s basically to make an object spin on its axis thus storing energy in the movement of the mass.
When that energy is required, it’s just the reverse process, much like a turbine in a hydroelectric power plant. Electricity is generated, and the revolving speed is reduced.
Obviously, there are many points to consider like loss of power due to friction, both with the air or the structural materials with which the device is built. Some of the solutions are to reduce or completely remove the air around the main body of such a machine. Another point to consider is how to maintain it spinning in the same place. The bearings must work with minimum friction. One very used method is to build a magnetic system, so the flywheel would basically float, taking that item out of the way.
Using this technology is not a new idea. However, there are still problems to ponder. The amount of energy stored depends on the mass and the square of the radius of the main component. The faster it spins; more energy is allocated to the battery. What puts a limit on this speed is that kind of revolving movement creates an applied force to the flywheel that will eventually rip apart if it goes too fast. The development of new materials enabled the construction of much more efficient piece of equipment.
Up to now, this is being built as large, heavy machines, to serve as no-break back-up in case of power failure of important technology. But there might be a day we can have our own flywheel hooked to our house, storing the power of the sun and the wind.

Uma das soluções é reduzir ou completamente remover o ar no entorno da peça principal de uma máquina dessas. Outro ponto a se considerar é como mantê-la girando no mesmo lugar. Os mancais devem trabalhar com o mínimo de atrito. Um método muito utilizado é construir um sistema magnético, no qual o volante de inércia ficaria basicamente flutuando, tirando esse problema da frente.
Usar essa tecnologia não é uma ideia nova. Mas ainda há questões a considerar. A quantidade de energia armazenada depende da massa e do quadrado do raio do componente principal. Quanto mais girar, mais energia é alocada à bateria. O que limita essa velocidade é que esse tipo de movimento de rotação cria uma força aplicada ao volante que acabará rompendo se for rápido demais. O desenvolvimento de novos materiais tornou possível a fabricação de peças muito mais eficientes. Até agora, têm sido construídas máquinas grandes e pesadas, para servir de nobreaks no caso de falha de energia para equipamentos importantes. With reference to the discussions we lj,ave had, we are pleased to appoint you in our organization, XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX, (“Company”) on the following terms arid conditions.
CIRCLE / PLACE OF POSTING
Your initial work location will be Corporate Office but based on organizational and business exigencies/imperative you can be transferred to a Company location anyvhere in India or abroad.
BAND and DESIGNATION
For the purposes of policy and other related classification you will be placed in Band L4. You will be designated as Manager - Finance (BI — Marketing)
TOTAL COMPENSATION
Your Total Cost to Company (CTC) will be Rs. 900000/- (Rupees Nine Lac only) per annum. All the elements of compensation including benefits end perquisites are governed by applicable policies/procedures and rules and regulations and these are available with the Human Resources Dept.
You will participate in the Provident Fund Scheme as applicable to your category of the employees. Further you will be covered by Company sponsored and/or administered employee benefit program eg. Insurance, Gratuity etc.
The compensation shall be reviewed periodically as per the Company policy. Your Total Cost to Company (CTC) will be Rs. 900000/- (Rupees Nine Lac only) per annum. All the elements of compensation including benefits end perquisites are governed by applicable policies/procedures and rules and regulations and these are available with the Human Resources Dept.
You will participate in the Provident Fund Scheme as applicable to your category of the employees. Further you will be covered by Company sponsored and/or administered employee benefit program eg. Insurance, Gratuity etc. increments are discretionary and will be subject to and on the basis of effective performance and results at the sole discretion of the Company.
The remuneration shall be subject to deduction of taxes in accordance with Indian tax laWs and it shall be your responsibility to meet and fulfill all tax liabilities and requirements under Indian tax laws including compliance and filing of tax returns etc.
4. PROBATION and CONFIRMATION
You will be on probation for a period of six (06) months from the start date of appointment. At the end of this period, you will be confirmed in service subject to your satisfactory conduct and performance. Your probationary period may be extended, at the sole option and discretion of the Company, in writing, if your conduct or peJormance falls short of expectation during the initial period of probation either by another six months or for a shorter petiod as determined by the Company. In the event your conduct and performance is found unsatisfactory or if it falls short of expectation either during initial probationary period or during extended period of probation, your services are liable to be terminated without assigning any reason. You shall be deemed to be on probation until and unless your services are confirmed in writing.
5. TERMINATION OF EMPLOYMENT
This contract can be terminated by either party alter giving:
i) in lieu thereof one month’s notice or Basic Salary during probation; and
ii) two months notice or Basic Salary in lieu thereof, afler probation.
Upon termination by either party, you will immediately hand over to the Company all property belonging to the Company and/or relating to its business, including but not limited to any Laptop, Mobile Instrument including SIM Card, Brochures, Specifications, Formulae, Books, Documents, Market Data, Cost Data, Literature, Drawings, Effects or Records, etc. and you undertake not to make any copies of the same. 3“he Company reserves the right to confirm receipt of all such material before processing the full and final amount.
6. PHYSICAL and MENTAL FITNESS
This offer is subject to your being found physically and medically fit at the time of your joining and remaining fit during the tenure of your employment with us. The Company reserves the right to terminate your employment should you be found unfit at any point in time during the course of your employment and under such circumstances, the notice period specified in Clause 5 above shall not apply.
7 GENERAL SERVICE CONDITIONS
As part of your employment you are expected to comply with standards of business behavior
confirming to the code of conduct guidelines contained in various polices/procedures/rules
and regulations. You are expected and required to familiarize yourself with these various
Guidelines/Policies/Procedures/Rules or Regulations. You are required to specifically note
the following
a. You will be wholly and exclusively in the full time employment of the Company
and are not permitted to carry on any other business, profession or employment. You
will have to obtain prior written permission from the HR Head before undertaking
any teaching, training or writing assignment and ensure that views expressed by you
in the media/publications are strictly your personal views.
b. Any violation of code of conduct / acts that are a criminal offense or involve moral
turpitude would invite appropriate disciplinary action including termination of
employment.
c. In addition to your usual duties you may be required to perform any work assigned
to you by the management / any officer of the management where you may be
posted for the time being.
d. You will be covered by leave, holidays, and working hour policies as applicable to
employees at all locations and as set out in the Company policies.
e. In the event you voluntarily terminate the contract of service or this appointment, as
the case may be, within a period of One year from the joining date, the company
shall recover all the expenses incurred by the company towards your joining which
shall include but not be limited to the relocation expenses (charges for the
transportation/packing/unpacking/loading/ unloading charges) for self, spouse and
children or any other amount paid to you at the time of joining.
The terms and conditions of this letter are as per the existing policies of the Company. The
Company reserves the right to incorporate such other terms and conditions as it deems fit,
including non-solicitation agreements, agreements relating to protection of the Company’s
intellectual property and such other agreements as reasonably required by the Company for
the protection of its interests and business and you agree to be bound by the stipulations
therein and the same shall treated as if they were a part of this Letter of Appointment.
8. TRANSFER
In view of organization and business needs, your services can be transferred by the Company
in such capacity as the Company may, from time to time, determine anywhere in India or
abroad to any one of the Company’s departments, subsidiaries, Joint Ventures, Associates,
etc. Consequent to such transfers, you will be governed by the terms and conditions of
service as applicable to your category of employees in the new organization and place.
9. RETIREMENT
You will retire from the services of the Company upon attainment of Sixty years of age. The
actual date of retirement shall be the last working day of the calendar month in which your
60th birthday falls. However, you may be retired at any age before Sixty years during your
services in the establishment if you are unable to continue in service satisfactorily due to any
form of physical or the mental infirmity or are not able to perform the given work for any
other reason whatsoever.
10. STATEMENT OF FACTS
Notwithstanding any other terms and conditions stipulated herein, if at any stage, during the
tenure of your service, it is found that any particulars or details furnished by you are incorrect
and/or this agreement of service has been obtained by misrepresentation of facts, the
Company shall, in addition to taking such further and other action in civil and criminal law as
it may be advised, have the right to terminate your services forthwith without giving any
notice. The company reserves the rights to conduct verification checks to ascertain facts if
needed.
11. APPLICABILITY OF OTHER AGREEMENTS
The Company has a policy of sponsoring certain employees for technical training
assignments with the Group Companies/ Company's Technical Collaborators or any other
Institutions/ Organizations in India or abroad. Should you be selected for such an
assignment, you will diligently and beneficially take part in such assignments, Further, all
expenses towards travel, accommodation and other related expenses (excluding any personal
expenses) for such training(s) shall be borne by the Company. In the event you voluntarily
terminate the contract of service or this appointment before completing 1 year from the date
of such training, you shall be liable for payment of all expenses incurred by the Company for
such training(s).
12. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS, NON-DISCLOSURE AND
CONFLICT OF INTEREST UNDERTAKING
In course of your employment with the Company, you will have access to certain confidential
and proprietary information of the Company/ parent company/ subsidiaries and their
activities. You will not, at any time, without the written consent of an authorized signatory of
the Company, disclose, divulge or make public except on legal obligations, any information
related with Company’s affairs or administration or research carried out whether the same
may be confided to you or become known to you in the course of your employment or
otherwise.
Further, if you conceive any new or advanced methods of improving process / formulae /
systems in relation to the business/operation of the Company, and/or any of its subsidiaries
such development will be fully communicated to the Company and will remain sole right /
property of the Company. The copyright for any software and other relevant software
designed by you, and the intellectual property rights of and any other rights derived from the
results of development and research through the research and development, including without
limitation right to apply for patent, copyright for the software, technical documents and
technical information shall be that of Company.
You shall not disclose either during your employment or afterwards, by word of mouth or
otherwise, any information/detail/particulars pertaining to any technical, scientific,
administrative, policy matter including financial details, pay packages/profile of employees
and/or any other matter concerning the management or any of its subsidiaries etc. and/or any
other matter/information/ knowledge and/or skill that you may come to know/acquire during
your employment with the management/its subsidiaries / any other concern where you may
be posted during your employment.
Should any dispute arise out of or in relation to this Letter of Appointment and the matters
dealt with therein, the same shall be referred to arbitration by a sole arbitrator to be appointed
by the HR Head. The arbitration shall be governed by the Arbitration and Conciliation Act,
1996 and the venue of the Arbitration shall be New Delhi. The terms and conditions of this
letter shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of India and, subject to the
provisions as to resort to arbitration, in the event of any dispute arising out of this letter, the
Courts at New Delhi only shall have jurisdiction.
The invalidity or unenforceability of any part of this Contract shall not affect the binding
effect of the rest of the letter.

5. RESCISÃO DE EMPREGO
Este contrato pode ser rescindido por qualquer uma das partes, alterando:
i) aviso prévio de um mês ou Salário Básico durante o período de experiência; e
ii) aviso prévio de dois meses ou Salário Básico durante o período de experiência.
Após a rescisão por qualquer uma das partes, você entregará imediatamente à Empresa todos os bens pertencentes à Empresa e / ou relacionados aos seus negócios, incluindo, mas não se limitando a, qualquer laptop, telefone celular, incluindo cartão SIM, brochuras, especificações, fórmulas, livros, Documentos, Dados de Mercado, Dados de Custo, Literatura, Desenhos, Efeitos ou Registros, etc. e você se compromete a não fazer nenhuma cópia dos mesmos. A Empresa reserva-se o direito de confirmar o recebimento de todo esse material antes de processar o valor total e final.
6. APTIDÃO FÍSICA e MENTAL
Esta posição só poderá ser assumida se você estiver fisicamente e clinicamente apto no momento de sua admissão e permanecer apto durante seu emprego conosco. 8. TRANSFERÊNCIA

9. APOSENTADORIA
Você se aposentará dos serviços da Empresa ao atingir 60 anos de idade. o a data real de aposentadoria será o último dia útil do mês civil em que o seu 60º aniversário cai.
