Había corales, esponjas, medusas, caracoles y otros animales, pero ningún pez nadaba en las azules aguas de dicho océano. Éstos habitaban únicamente los ríos, lagos y torrentes del Perú, pero eran tan pocos que no los pescaban.

There were corals, sponges, jellyfishes, snails and other animals but no fish swam in the blue waters of said ocean.
