Description
Do you already have your Dragon copy but don’t use it? Or you use it without ever having read the notice? Or you just want to know more about voice recognition? This webinar will teach you the basics to create a profile but, above all, it will give some tips to make it work in an optimal way: precautions to take before creating a profile, optimization, advanced settings... will allow you to take the best out of voice recognition and optimize the possible productivity gains. Translate more words in one hour (from 1.5 to 3 times) to translate more in one day or have more free time, isn’t it a dream? Additionally, voice recognition helps preventing back and arms pain...
Target audience
Any translator wanting to increase his/her productivity thanks to voice recognition, especially those who don’t type too fast…

• use specific menus to fine tune settings

• Internet Connection Required: Cable modem, DSL, or better Internet connection
• Recommended: Dual-core 2.4GHz CPU or faster with 2GB of RAM (recommended)

For Mac®-based Users:

• Required: Mac OS® X 10.5 – Leopard® or newer
• Required: Safari™ 3.0 or newer, Firefox® 3.0 or newer or Google™ Chrome™ 5.0 or newer (JavaScript™ and Java™ enabled)
• Internet Connection Required: Cable modem, DSL, or better Internet connection
• Required: Intel processor (1GB of RAM or better recommended)

To Use VoIP (microphone and speakers or headset):

• Required: Fast Internet connection (384 kbps or more recommended)
• Required: speakers or headset (USB headset recommended)
• NOT required: Microphone - attendees can communicate with the trainer through incorporated chat.

Recommendations

• For the visual section of the training course, we recommend that you have a 64kbps link. This means using an ISDN line or Broadband. Wireless connection is NOT recommended.
• For the audio section of the training course, we recommend that you have a headset or speakers.
• We recommend that you log in 30 minutes in advance of the start time to prepare for the training course.

Courses will be open half an hour before the start time. Please login before the start time to ensure that everything on your system is working correctly.

Bio: Bruno De Myttenaere a obtenu sa licence en traduction en 1975, à Bruxelles. Il a ensuite embrassé une carrière bancaire qui lui a permis de découvrir de nombreuses facettes de la banque. Il a mis un terme à sa carrière bancaire en 2009, comme cadre de direction, et a quitté la Belgique pour s’installer en France, à Annecy, dans les Alpes, où il a lancé son activité de traducteur freelance.

Depuis 2011, il utilise quotidiennement la reconnaissance vocale pour ses traductions, aussi bien dans SDL Studio 2011 (2014) que dans memoQ ou Wordfast Anywhere. A l’époque, cela lui a permis de respecter les délais pour la traduction d’un livre à laquelle il était occupé.

Bruno a 5 enfants et 10 petits enfants (et ce n’est pas fini…). Il aime la randonnée, le vélo, la lecture, la musique… et est comédien amateur : il a joué avec plusieurs troupes bruxelloises entre 1990 et 2009 et a écrit une pièce.
