I suppose the writer was "trying" to be lyrical! Hmmmmm! IMO it's a bit too far fetched. But that is just my opinion :-) What did they do? Dance around while they were cooking? Or maybe burst into song like Mary Poppins - a spoonful of sugar?

It's important to consider that the term 'dueto' and some other terms in portuguese can be wider than their strict meaning. Dueto means a duo performance, but in other contexts can mean any 'duo' action, whatever they are. It wouldn't be (very) weird to see rice and beans (arroz e feijão) referred as a 'dueto'. I would consider 'dueto' in this case as what the menu offers, like 'risotto and lasagna' for a day and you can choose one. It's visible that more context is needed to get a more precise translation but one thing is true: it refers to a second element, it can be a partner, the way the restaurant prepares its menu, or any other option...
It should not be assumed that there are two people in the kitchen if it's not clear on the example sentence.

It seems like a very strange way to say she worked with someone else.
A duet could also mean a performance and may be a flowery way of saying she did 'miracles' in this areas.
Or I could be completely wrong
