The problem is that I don't know whether the term has an equivalent in Romanian or not...
However, brand equity is a set of brand assets and liabilities linked to a brand, its name and symbol.

You can call it "valoare de marcă" / "brand value", as has been proposed in the GDT.
However, I have found one Romanian site where the author translated the term as "capital de marcă" / "brand equity", to better illustrate the idea of brand value as assets and liabilities.

In acest context, se poate considera cã marca a devenit un element cu valoare de patrimoniu, o componentã a capitalului organizatiei, alãturi de celelalte active si imobilizãri, sens în care managementul sau gestiunea mãrcii trebuie sã cuprindã un mare numãr de concepte ce urmãresc aceeasi finalitate: crearea unei relatii durabile si stabile cu consumatorul prin constituirea unui puternic si veritabil ***capital de marcã***.
Still, as you may have noticed, this appears under the title of "valoarea mărcii", i.e. "brand value". So while both are correct, "valoare de marcă" might be better known & understood.
