"Она проходит как владелец участка в садоводческом товариществе "40 лет Победы"."
Нужно, чтобы перевод был не дословным, а отражал суть предприятия, которым является с.т., т.е. не "разводить сады" и не "засевать огороды", а строить дома, дачи, иметь загородный дом. Gardening society поэтому не подойдет. В американской культуре приходят на ум "neighborhood", "estates", "village", как обозначение обособленной, огороженной территории, состоящей из нескольких десятков домовладений. Но сказать "40 Let Pobedy Estates" - это же звучит как-то смешно, не так ли?

If it's clear from the context, I would just leave it out, especially for an American audience.
Russians (and Germans) are very fond of describing the category and then specifying the name. In American English the category is often left out.
For example, you don't say: I am a member of the Garden society "40 Years", but rather "I am a member of "40 Years". The context or the reader's/listener's knowledge fills in the rest.
Another possibility might be something with "friends": Gardening Friends.

: I read the question more carefully after I had agreed with "allotment society". "Dacha cooperative" might work, but it's actually a construction cooperative.

Actually, it is both construction and "exploitation" cooperative. They have to pay for water and electricity collectively, organize waste products disposal etc

Dacha construction co-operative
This has been bothering me! It's a building society, not a gardening society. It's building homes on участки/allotments, probably for summer use. The actual translation depends on how much of a Russian flavour you want your translation to have. "Summer homes cooperative/estate" might be a less Russian way to say it.
I can't see the point of transliterating 40 лет победы and you could simply omit it. You could I suppose call it the "Victory dacha construction coop" or the "Victory summer homes estate", since it's the "40 years" that sounds so odd in English.

Sounds like an enterprise for building out-of-town homes to me!
I can't see the point of transliterating 40 лет победы and you could simply omit it. You could I suppose call it the "Victory dacha construction coop" or the "Victory summer homes estate", since it's the "40 years" that sounds so odd in English.

: It's not a building soiciety. they get lots together and then they have to pay for various things together. But they built their houses on their own - not together.

'co-operative venture' indicates (i believe) that this is not for some "gardeners' etc. but they will use lots to build vacation homes (ie dacha, cottage) with a lawn, small orchard, hothouse, garden whatever.
