"Launch" is the wrong word here Piloted helicopters are not really launched, they take off or land. In 11 years in aviation, I haven't heard the term "launch pad" even once (except about Cape Canaveral, etc.)

Разлетная площадка для вертолетов - это аналог взлетно-посадочной полосы для самолетов. Слово helipad может обозначать как отдельно стоящую вертолетную площадку или палубу, так и специально маркированную для вертолетов зону на аэродроме (см. фото - такие зоны на перроне аэропорта Ковентри).

neutral Anton Konashenok : With all due respect, Donald, "launch pad" is the common term for radio-controlled helicopters only, not for the "real" ones // I am not saying it's wrong, but it is not used among aviation professionals (see comment).
