English term

Stage/Staging

English to Japanese Bus/Financial Transport / Transportation / Shipping Shipping execution system
I believe that "Stage" in the following sentences means a certain step or phase in shipping process, but I have no clear idea.
I will be grateful if anyone can help me.

-The picking process is complete when the material has been moved to the *Staging* Subinventory.
-The subinventory transfer is executing moving the material from its source location to the destination *staging* subinventory.
-The delivery line status is changed to *Staged*/Pick Confirmed, making it eligible to be Ship Confirmed.

Thank you for your notes that helped me clearing the concept.
I think it can be translated into 一時保管(場所)。

Found a (possibly more useful) reference http://www.rku.ac.jp/~takada/zemij/graduate/chap7.pdf
輸送前に商品を切り離したり(staging)、混載貨物をユニット化するための領域も重要である。

It refers to short term storage prior to shipping out. As also seen in this link http://www.aimuk.org/pdfs/transport.pdf It is also used in other, somewhat different, ways for example resting animals during transport but that does not apply to your text.

輸送の準備する(場所)

staging means to prepare for (example: shipping) or getting ready, therefore "準備する" would be sufficient, I think.
