Hi María,
If "posibilitar" is a pain, "probabilizar" is a nightmare.
Using a verb here is scary. ;-)
I'd suggest something like:
We've briefly summarised those properties conducive to maintaining .....
Don't see anything wrong with "properties" as such, in the absence of more context, which unfortunately you don't have.
Andy.

make it more likely
We definitely need more context, but here is a suggestion that may fit: "the qualities that make it more likely for a system to remain resilient."
"the qualities that promote a system's resilience" would be a lot less awkward, but my guess is that the idea of probability is crucial in your text (it is quite a strange word in Spanish too).
Hope some of this helps in your context.

Thanks, Vero. Context is a social-ecological system. Unfortunately, there is no other part of the text that would help :( |

'help sustain' / promote / boost
I think you could actually do away with 'el mantenimiento' by using of verbs (or a synonym), where ' el mantenimiento' would be implied:
... properties that promote/boost/ 'help sustain' the resilience ...
... properties that promote/boost/ 'help sustain' the resilience ...

Thank you, Carol! :) |
