H.N.O.

Spanish to English Medical Medical: Cardiology medical
This translation is about a person in the hospital. As part of the treatment the doctor ordered "Ayuno H.N.O." Can anyone tell me what H.N.O. means?
Thank you!

There is no explaining some people's reasoning:)
Robert Copeland May 21, 2011:
Hi, you requested a Spanish to English translation answer and then you ended up chosing a Spanish to Spanish answer. As you see, I provided the correct answer in the correct language combination as requested, not sure of your reasoning here, but "win some. lose some I guess?!?"
liz askew Feb 23, 2011:
so, did you actually put "fasting until further notice"????
liz askew Feb 9, 2011:
@everybody. Here is an earlier contribution made by Dr Jason Faulkner

Reference:

UFN

Commonly I saw this several times at the lab or pre surgery, under restrictions:

1) No meals UFN
and some middle east MDs go for:
2) Fasting UFN (labs and research)
I also saw no food delivery service UFN on few hospitals.

Literately should be Fasting UFN, again is not common. My opinion is that you must use something more clinical like: food restrictions or simply fasting (06-12-24 hr)...

Medical - Medical: Health Care / Testing and treatment for acute bronchitis
Spanish term or phrase: BH, QS, ES, AHNO
List given as additional tests and treatment of acute bronchitis (they are listed just as I have shown, and I include them all in case they provide more context together than separately!). I see one suggestion for AHNO - is this merely an abbreviation for analgésico??
