Spanish term

neoproliferativos

Spanish to English Medical Medical (general) doctors' responses to performance of certain drugs to treat arthrosis/arthritis/osteoporosis/IBS
Hello again

This involves a translation of a spreadsheet containing responses from doctors about the results of the use of certain drugs in the treatment of various conditions.

I am not sure what they mean by "neoproliferativos" here:

inmunogenicidad

aumento riesgo de infecciones

psoriasis

neoproliferativos

otras infecciones

Thank you!

Hi, I had understood the "neoproliferative" bit, but wondered what the noun was. I think it must be "processes" as the others are feminine..Thank you!

neoplastic

Sorry to be late with this--I'm catching up. Since 'neoplasia' means 'proliferation of cells', I don't see why you can't use 'neoplastic', which of course is well known to all. As you know, it includes diseases like leukemia that do not form tumors.

Neoplasm is an abnormal mass of tissue as a result of neoplasia. Neoplasia (new growth in Greek) is the abnormal proliferation of cells. The growth of this clone of cells exceeds, and is uncoordinated with, that of the normal tissues around it. It usually causes a lump or tumor. ...

Note from asker:
Yes, I see your point. However, the spreadsheet has "neoplasia/s" many, many times, and then has "neoproliferativos" just two or three times. So I thought I would differentiate too in the En trans:)
