sterios prosiniklis Jan 16, 2011: It's a very long story to set up a company in Greece. Probably you think that you declare or register only once! We have to know what kind of company we are talking about, in order to find out what this declaration is for! A simple personal company needs a lot of paper work :(
Elenacb (asker) Jan 16, 2011: The problem is, this is a very different context. The company was set up 20 days before the "date of declaration"? That doesn't make sense here. Correct me if I am wrong but according to what I have read about Greece, you need to register your company within 1 or 2 months of its inception this is why I thought "registration" was better in this context.

This question was referring to the text discussed previously so although I do know what "declaration" means, it sounds strange in the given context. It does not make much sense and doesn't sound very English. However, thank you for your reassurance, Dave (I guess you are a native speaker). "Registration" is a solution but "declaration" is also correct
