My name is Maria Kalomiri and I provide translations from Greek and English into Russian. I am native in Russian, proficient in Greek and English and close to native in Ukrainian. I am tech savvy with solid knowledge in website and software localization.

I was born in Ukraine, where I lived, studied and worked until 2007. I obtained a Master's degree in English and Modern Greek language and literature from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv in 2005 and entered the PhD program there, when I decided to persue a corporate career. My second round of studies includes a program from Chartered Institute of Marketing which I attended in 2006-2007. I moved to Greece in 2008, where I live since then. 

I undertake translation projects as a freelancer since 2005, but apart from that being a multilingual always made me work with translations in my full-time positions. 

My professional experience includes 8 years in a major Greek constuction company as a sales and marketing manager and assistant to CFO and 6 years in an international e-commerce company as an online marketing executive and business development manager. 

One of my roles for my current employer is to serve as a localization manager for 11 websites and mobile applications cooperating with 3 IT teams and simultaneously coordinating 42 translators from all over the globe. Performing this role for 3 years gave me a solid knowledge in website and software localization.
