I’m not sure as I don’t keep track. I’d say that several turn up every day or so in my inbox, particularly during public holidays held in certain European countries but not in Portugal. Due to the health crisis and the economic crisis that will follow inevitably what has increased is the number of CVs sent by other translators looking for jobs from all over the world, even if I don’t outsource often and I only work from and into European Portuguese…

I'm still getting a regular trickle of direct personal enquiries from potiential clients (agencies and private clients too) in Italy and other countries. I presume these enquires come via Proz, LinkedIn, and other sources. I always reply politely to these direct enquires and send them the information they want.

I got my first serious online job offers thanks to Proz.com even before becoming a paying member. For the longest time I was operating outside of the internet due to some private connections in a few Croatian companies. This is due to the fact that I have a full time day job in a financial industry but the job is boring and translations and lingustics are my true passion, so I decided to invest in a Proz Plus Membership and now (for the time being)I amgetting mire jobs that I can handle..... No changes so far, business as usual. Perhaps that's because I translate slots. People are out of money during lockdown, and they try to get some by playing slots. I don't think it's wise, however...
